About
At the Canine Etiquette Academy I do things a little differently. I know that you don’t just need your dog to listen in the house, but on walks, in the car, at the park, and everywhere in between, this is why our training is conducted in a real world setting. We keep the ratio of dogs to trainers small so that each dog can receive the necessary assistance to complete their studies. Your dog is learning continuously so we structure their day to promote good habits while eliminating poor choices. All of this works together to create the happy, well rounded, and eager to please dog.
The training style used at the Canine Etiquette Academy is balanced training, which emphasizes the use of both rewards and corrections to create a clear picture for the dog. At no time do I guarantee specific results within a set time frame, each dog is an individual and progresses at a different rate. I customize the training to meet the clients goals. |
“How much time will you spend working my dog each day?” the #1 question we get from clients. We don’t have a set answer because we are training your dog continuously. As a dog trainer there is no clocking out, ever. If your dog starts barking in the middle of the night guess who gets up to go correct it. When your dog is on a potty walk guess who is teaching him that pulling on the leash is unacceptable. Guess who monitors your dog while he is on a duration climb. There is no room for "whatever" in dog training, We don’t get to decide its quitting time and just start ignoring your dog. Your dog is learning constantly so we must be his teacher, constantly.
