Hi all I'm Katherine Winrich - a therapist for you and your dog.
My specialty is building a relationship between man and dog founded on clear communication and fair and consistent treatment. I have never not had a dog in my life, and from the beginning I have always been drawn to them. My first experience in dog training came through training our family pet in 4-H, from there I have only grown. Over the years I have dabbled in obedience, conformation, scent work, agility, rally, tracking, protection, and mushing. Like anyone I have my favorites, but the one thing that allows me to love all of them is that they all involve dogs. I took major steps towards becoming a professional dog trainer in 2019 by attending the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers where I was top of my class. While studying under Dave Van Garderen I learned how dogs think and worked to develop my ability to read the dog. I use balanced training, the use of both rewards and corrections, to develop a relationship with each dog that allows us to reach our common goals. My greatest joy is that magical moment when I see the light come on in a dogs eyes. That moment of understanding when everything suddenly falls into place. Contact me directly to set up training
